I told her either they are IN the case or ON the strap around you neck. Never put them down anywhere. Two years later they are in perfect condition, they still fit and look cool and I feel this was definitely a worthwhile investment. After reading many reviews I decided it would be better to spend the money on a really solid pair of sunglasses than to buy a junkie pair and just have to replace it right away. Fortunately it worked out.
