Have withstood abuse thus far. I thought it would be flimsy but they are not. This doesn't mean you can step it on it or sit on them though. The knockoff Oakley Garage Rock sunglasses are better than the price you pay, but they do not replace high end sunglasses. But if you drop them they will be ok. I have dropped them twice, and the lens has not scratched. It is polarized.
